Case 39: Main Focus on this case |

Meaning:

Water extraction from the air is a method to convert moisture in the air into drinking water.

The current situation of water resources:

72% of the Earth's surface is covered by water, but freshwater resources account for only 0.5% of all water resources, nearly 70% of freshwater is fixed in the ice of Antarctica and Greenland, and the rest is mostly soil moisture or deep groundwater, which cannot be used by human beings.

Working principle:

The use of brine hygroscopic effect of absorbing moisture in the air. The first step is to allow the brine to flow down from the top of a tower-shaped device and absorb moisture from the air in the process. The brine is then pumped into a vacuum vessel several meters high, and then solar energy is used to heat the brine, which has been diluted by the absorption of moisture and distills out the water that does not contain salt.
